Reiki And Crystals

Crystal usage is optional for Reiki and it is not completely essential to use them for every Reiki Treatment. However, some people integrate their Reiki practices with crystal healing techniques to enhance the effects.
If you are willing to use crystals in Reiki, you will have to choose a different crystal for each chakra. It is possible to place crystals near or on the body.

Reiki Masters incorporate crystals into their Reiki practice in different ways. Crystal Grid is a common way to make a pattern and place it under Reiki chair or table. Crystals need purification before cleansing and after purification, hold them one by one and make a crystal channel for energy to flow easily. Level 1 practitioner will focus on channelizing energy through crystal and level 2 practitioners will use symbols, along with crystals for channelization of Reiki energy. After energy channelization, you can place a particular pattern for the same. An example for this is Star of David Pattern, which has a layout for placing crystals with one for foot and one for head. The other four points lie on shoulder and hip area.

There are different patterns to be experimented with crystal and you will have to practically see which one works well for you. If you channelize energy through Reiki and include crystals in your session, it will encourage the positivity in your approach. It might help you in focusing on your session and visualizing Reiki from a deeper prospect. If you are expert in crystal knowledge and know about the issues of your clients, it is feasible to guide them to choose an appropriate crystal form. Like, amethyst is suggested for people having anxiety or stress problems.
The usage of crystals in Reiki is a modern concept and people found that these things complement each other in a right way. If you want to expand your practice in Reiki, crystals can be a great way for channelizing universal energy in a right direction.

It is a known fact that crystals and gems have some sort of treatment properties. Crystals can channelize the energy into a right direction and encourage positivity. The healing properties for every color are different and hence, you can use it according to various problems in body. It is always required to allow energy flow to go in a direction, where it can serve you in the best way.
The primary thing used by people is to put clear quartz crystals around your body to generate energy grid in the body of recipient. It creates a platform to send Reiki energy to recipient and enhances the power of basic treatment of procedure. It can also be implemented for distance Reiki sessions through which the recipient’s name is written and quartz crystals are spread around it to leave an impact of Reiki and crystals together. There can be another way to draw a symbol in front of you and holding crystal in your hands for beginning distant Reiki. There are many people illustrating desired outcomes with crystal and reiki impacts. There is a book named ‘Crystal Bible’, which mentions the use of each crystal and its impacts on the body. Some people use a unique way of combining crystals with Reiki by putting crystals on the body of recipient. They treat it as a way to balance chakras and channelize energy into a right direction.

There are different ways for combining healing powers of Reiki and crystals and you can learn it better by focusing on the methods suiting you the most.

How Can We Become Better Reiki Practitioners

How can we become “better” Reiki practitioners? I often hear Reiki practitioners asking how they can “get better at Reiki.” I think there is a way. We become better Reiki practitioners when we improve ourselves and our own ways of living, speaking, and interacting. Okay, well, how do we do that? First, let’s look at what not to do. Let’s avoid the temptation to grasp for answers externally, taking workshop after workshop that promise that our Reiki will become more “powerful.”

Handily, the system of Reiki provides the answers to that question. Let’s explore two of these answers systematically. Foremost, is the fact that our ongoing commitment to practice daily self-Reiki facilitates our personal growth and self-development. Of course, Usui Mikao Sensei conceived Reiki practice as just that: “The mission of Usui Reiki Ryoho (Healing Art/Method) is to enhance mutual well-being for oneself and others, on one hand, by fulfilling a peaceful and joyful life mentally and physically and, on the other hand, healing the sick.” In other words, Reiki offers mind-body meditative and healing benefits when we apply it to ourselves.

When we give ourselves the gift of daily self-Reiki, we give ourselves the chance to connect and listen to our inner selves. In the stillness of self-practice we touch our essential truths, and begin to make whole those parts in need of healing. “The quieter you become, the more you can hear.” (Ram Dass). Self-reiki supports us as we look inward to face and release unhelpful notions and emotions, thereby enabling us to generate more love and understanding outward. When we begin to understand ourselves, our loving-kindness toward others grows. By creating a mind of love, we can be better Reiki practitioners because we have become more stable, more patient, more understanding, more compassionate, and so can bring relief and ease to others.

Second, Usui’s teachings provide us with the Reiki Precepts. These, too, help us become better Reiki practitioners. Usui Mikao Sensei wrote in a short preamble to the Precepts that contemplating and practicing the Precepts was “the secret to inviting happiness through many blessings, the spiritual medicine for all illness.” We can see here that we become better Reiki practitioners when we do the work, a lifetime of work, of applying the Precepts to the way we live our lives.

Have you discovered that the Reiki Precepts are pretty serious business? They are a guide to us in our speech, the choices we make, and how we interact with others. Each of these (speech, choices, and interactions) is an expression of ourselves that we put out into the world in every circumstance in which we find ourselves. As we work with the Reiki Precepts, we begin to produce more loving thoughts, more gentle speech, more compassionate interactions, and deeper listening. And these are the prerequisites for improving rapport with our clients and students, as well as for presenting Reiki effectively to the public.

Strengthened by our self-practice and the Precepts, we improve ourselves on all levels in order to bring supportive, loving healing to others. That, I believe, is how we become better Reiki practitioners.

Top 5 Reasons Why Reiki Does Not Work

Every practitioner who’s been into Reiki for a while knows that it does work. There are a few things which could cause Reiki to “not work”, and people who don’t get the expected results are most likely doing or having at least one of the following. There are of course other factors too, but these are most common. Here they are :

1. Quick Fix mentality

Some people expect Reiki to just kick in and solve all their problems for them. That is not usually what happens.Reiki is not a silver bullet and it doesn’t work that way. The way it does work is, with practice, it will help you see your problems, and it will show you a way to solve them, or many times teach you to just let go of them – but in the end it will be you solving your own issues.

2. Impatience

Many people have unreasonable expectations and for some reason believe that Reiki is like a magic pill that you just take and you’re fixed. There is unfortunately no such pill, and these pill seekers won’t find it in Reiki, nor will they find it anywhere else, for such pill does not exist.Reiki takes time, and its practice is very much like growing children. Parents will definitely agree with this one. Just like when feeding children, you’ll surround your daily practice with love. Just like time spent with your kids, the sessions are something practitioners enjoy and look forward to.If someone said to you, “hey, I’ve been feeding and taking care of my newborn for 3 whole days now, when is he going to grow up?“, you’d probably burst into laughter, thinking “what a good joke”.Reiki is a way of life. Just like kids growing, little difference (if any) can be noticed from one day to the next. But when looking back at months and years of practice, the changes incurred are very obvious and profound.

3. Lack of practice

Just like any other “craft”, the more you do it, the better you’re at it. The energy channels are cleared with each session. Every time you invoke a symbol, even if it’s just for a few seconds, the energy is reinforced.
The performance of an athlete who trains every day will be very different from the performance of an athlete who trains once a week.

4. Approach

Reiki is a journey, not a destination. It should be approached as an exploration, as an expedition to discover new territory, new things, that will come in time. Not with over-excitement, but with tranquility, joy, and a smile. It is not a destination with stages 1, 2 and 3. It most certainly does not end with the Master / Teacher level. In fact, it never ends. It’s a continuous, transformational journey, filled with growth experiences and great learnings. It’s a peaceful journey, and it starts with the certainty that life is already great, and it can only get better. There is always something new to learn and to experience, and just when you thought you’ve reached the destination, the path to the next stage becomes clearer. The wise practitioner approaches Reiki as a journey, not as a destination.

5. Attachment to the outcome

This is probably the number One reason why Reiki doesn't work.Especially when new to the practice, people tend to channel the energy towards a specific outcome, instead of a specific situation. For example, you might channel the energy intending that you pass a specific job interview, instead of just sending the energy to the entire situation, being open to any outcome that serves the highest good of all involved. Attempting to channel to a purpose will simply negate the effect. It will strengthen the attachment, creating a “clingy” feeling, which will in turn create resistance and stress. When channeling Reiki, detach yourself from any outcomes. Resist nothing, and be open to anything. Trust that Reiki is an intelligent energy that will find its way to the highest good. Perhaps failing that job interview is a prerequisite to your discovering that you can contribute in a better, different way. Or perhaps you’ll just do great in the job. The key is to just be open to both outcomes, and to all other outcomes. Perhaps you’ll get a job at that company, just not the one you’re thinking about. Or perhaps you will refer your friend to this job. The possibilities are infinite, and we can only appreciate the abundance of opportunities we see at every step we take.So don’t cling to any outcomes when sending Reiki. Instead, aim for a feeling of flow, of peace, of openness, and trust (and aim for) that whatever will happen is the best thing for everyone involved – even if they don’t know it yet.

Benefits of Reiki for Children

Reiki is an art of balancing mind and body. Many people who benefited from it share experiences with their children. The best part of this art is that you can give Reiki treatment to your family or friends distant from you.
If you are unsure about your child’s response, then you need not worry as most children love Reiki. If you take them to a trial session, they will typically enjoy it because the body of children and teenagers responds quickly to energy treatments. They can get immense benefits from it due to their higher acceptability towards the natural ways of treatment.

Children have less matured minds and love to move with their own schedules and priorities. Reiki for 5-10 minutes daily can imbibe positivity in your children and make them better person in their lives. You can even give your children healing treatments, when they are doing their daily activities. It will be able to help them to get rid of any sort of negativity arising in their body. Your warm touch and gentle healing with make them feel nice. This would be a great experience, when your child is in a mood to sleep at night and your gentle touch on their body parts will give them a natural soothing effect.

Reiki is helpful for hyperactive kids and it can be done by beaming the energy towards a child (if they are uncomfortable with gentle touches). If you are trying to do the treatment, while the child is sleeping and he/she starts wriggling or moving; it indicates that child doesn’t desire Reiki Energy. If you’re attuned to Advanced level, you can send using the symbols(especially the distance symbol might be useful).

Little babies can also get positive impacts of Reiki. It is helpful for teething babies as the treatment will ease the pain and pressure generated by teething issues. You can beam Reiki energy towards teething area. Similarly, colic is another thing eased with Reiki treatment. You can allow your healing energy to flow from your hands towards baby’s body. Ear aches or other problems can also be managed well for infants. The babies might start wriggling and crying, while taking Reiki. You need to understand their way of saying ‘Thank you! I don’t require it at the moment’. It is better to respect the need of your babies or toddlers.

Children can learn Reiki and implement it on themselves. It would be a great activity for them to build a stronger future and become Balanced and Positive adults.

The Healing Power Of Crystals

Crystals, gems and stones, have a long documented history of use in healing work in practically every culture and religious tradition since the dawn of time.  In our contemporary era, crystals are regularly employed because of their inherent ability to deeply enhance the table work experience for both the practitioner and client.  For those wishing to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the properties, characteristics, functions, and application of crystals, there are thankfully, many wonderful books that are readily available and which explain the many kinds of crystals one can obtain for use.Crystals are powerful, transformational tools, capable of even turning sound into light.  While we may consider crystals to be both inert and lifeless, the reality is they constitute and comprise the very essence of our physical and even energetic composition.  Our bodies, like crystals, are composed of silicone and water, and that is why we can so intensely feel the vibration of a crystal bowl resonating within us.  If we believe that crystals are as much a part of the web of connection as we are, then we can readily recognize that crystals have the ability to act as intermediaries, enabling us to communicate and connect with higher levels of consciousness and existence.  Crystals have unique path and it is believed by energy workers and healers that they too, have their own karmic lessons to fulfill and experience, not unlike humans.  If one truly espouses the belief that everything in the Universe is interconnected, then one must recognize that crystals are really just another manifestation or reflection of who we are.Crystals have the ability not only to conduct energy, but also amplify our feelings, thoughts, and vibrations. It has been established that crystals and gems have an amazing ability to enhance the healing work.Crystals channel good "energy" and ward off bad "energy." They carry "vibrations" that resonate with healing "frequencies," work with the chakras and help balance yin and yang. Crystals allegedly affect the emotions and can be used not only for physical healing, but for emotional problems as well.Crystals cannot only help with emotional healing, but with self expression, creativity, meditation and the immune system.Today, crystal wands are used to heal auras in aura therapy. But one of the more egregious pseudoscientific claims regarding crystals is that, if arranged properly, they can provide protection against harmful electromagnetic forces such as those that are emitted from computer monitors, cellular phones, microwave ovens, hair dryers, power lines, and other people. An experienced healer or energy worker routinely uses different sets or combinations of crystals in multiple sessions with a client.A practitioner might even choose to use the same crystal at each one of the chakras to enhance the healing properties of that crystal in a particular session.Crystals today have become an inseperable part of any healing work.Crystals acts as a Catalyst in the overall healing process.A healer will gradually come to realize, learning about crystals and their varied uses, can literally become a life-long endeavour.

Here is a simple exercise to help one ascertain and start to intuit the healing properties of crystals consists of the following steps:
  1. Lay out several stones or crystals in a table before you.  First note if you are drawn to any particular one.  If so, pick it up.  Note how the crystal feels in your hand.  Does it feel warm—tingly, or cold? Do you experience any other sensations as you hold it? Make note of these.
  2. See if another crystal draws you or calls to you.
  3. Repeat the same process until you have picked all of the crystals up.  It is very common for you to pick up a crystal that is visually appealing, and reflective of the healing properties you may have need of.  As you explore using crystals and noting their properties you will begin to intuit which ones you are drawn to using or carrying.
  4. When you finish the exercise, look up the properties of the crystals you were drawn to, and see if they speak to you.

Five Easy Steps To Charge Your Bathtub Water With Reiki

This technique proves to be quite useful for helping you enrich your bathtub water with Reiki energy, thereby helping you stay energetic and refreshed for the rest of the day.
  1. Place your hands on top of the bathtub water.
  2. Draw the Sei He Kei once and repeat the name of this symbol thrice.
  3. Seal everything by drawing the Cho Ku Rei and repeating the name of this symbol three times.
  4. Say "Let the energy run through this bathtub water."
  5. Now, move your hands through this bath water quite a few times. This will help disperse the energy all through the water tub in an efficient manner.
Bathing with water that is charged with Reiki can prove to be highly beneficial in not only cleansing all the sweat and dirt from your body, but also in washing off all the tensions and worries of everyday life.
